In the novel "a Hero of our time" Mikhail Lermontov introduces us to the main character – Grigory Pechorin. The author shows Pechorin is intelligent, educated, handsome man, but at the same time, selfish, power-hungry and immoral character. Can such people be friends and love? Love and friendship mean between a close relationship, where there is a desire to share the secret, where there is trust, sincerity and understanding.
Pechorin seems to be a complicated person difficult to build relationships. He says: "Twenty times in his life, even honor put on the map ... but their freedom will not sell". It's like he's trying not to let people close to him, preferring solitude. But he could tie a friendly relationship with Maxim Maksimych, grushnitski and Werner.
As for love, then this feeling it, too, is not serious, and with the girls talking for the sake of boredom and adventure, breaking their hearts. He says: "I never became a slave of the woman; on the contrary, I have always acquired at their will and heart an invincible power." He behaves brutally towards women, first they fall in love and then loses interest in them. The feeling of love Pechorin is likely to have experienced Faith , but he knew that she is married and they are destined to leave.
I believe that the main character loves most himself, so the feelings of love and friendship he is missing. Perhaps he was afraid of attachment to another person. In friendship Pechorin does not believe, he believes that " in friendship one servant to another."
It is possible that if Pechorin didn't dwell on themselves and their installations, it would be a happy man. But he kept to himself and did not let close. Sometimes we need people to trust and appreciate them and not use them as puppets in their games.
