Features of classicism, romanticism and realism in the comedy of A.S. Griboyedov "Woe from Wit"
The work "Woe from Wit" combines different literary trends - romanticism, classicism and realism. Therefore, it is impossible to attribute it to one thing. It is worth determining what exactly belongs to which trend.

Classicism.

Among the main features of classicism, one can single out the unity of place and time, since the entire plot of the comedy takes place in one day in one place, visiting Famusov. However, it has two conflicts - public, in which there is a conflict of opinions, and love.

In addition, many surnames are truly speaking. For example, Molchalin doesn't say much, and Repetilov constantly likes to repeat everything.

Division into positive and negative characters. Everyone can see that Griboyedov singles out Chatsky as a positive character, and endows Famusov himself with the qualities of a negative one.

Realism.

Among the main features of realism, one can single out the fact that the conflict is resolved ambiguously. It has no clear winner and no loser.

Within the framework of realism, the language spoken by all guests is very indicative. It is quite lively, vernacular, they are not expressed in complex sentences, and also shows their belonging to a certain stratum and generation.

In addition, it should be noted that Famusov, although he is a negative character, still remains a loving father, ready to go to great lengths for his daughter.

Romanticism.

The main features of romanticism lie mainly in the protagonist, romance. He rebelled against the Famus society, but at the same time remained completely alone. He is an exile from their community and now he has no place there.

In addition, this confrontation with the whole world is portrayed by Griboyedov with the help of "young people", that is, a new generation that does not want to live by the rules of the old. They want to achieve everything by themselves, by their own labor, so Chatsky says "I would be glad to serve, it is sickening to serve."

Also, one of the features of romanticism is the presence of sublime monologues that personify the position of the hero and are not devoid of pathos.
