I will never forget this vacation. For the first time in my life, I was looking forward to the onset of autumn to cross the threshold of the school again. It's hard to believe, but I really missed my classmates and teachers.
I didn't have my graduation after grade 9 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Since spring, we have all lived in uncertainty. To be honest, I hoped that the situation would improve, and there would be an opportunity to go to summer camp or earn extra money. Instead, I spent the whole summer at home, but the time has passed usefully.
I have never gone for a walk because I do not want to get sick with coronavirus. My mother works as a doctor in a hospital; with the announcement of restrictive measures, she switched to barracks. We still haven't met since spring, she sleeps at work. It annoys me that some people ignore the recommendations of Rospotrebnadzor. Not everyone in the stores wears protective masks, and few observe social distance. This is irresponsible.
During the holidays I learned to cook. I am very happy with the acquired skill, but I confess that it was a necessary measure. My father spends most of his time at work, and I was introduced to myself. Fortunately, there are many step-by-step recipe videos on the Internet.
Today I can easily cook borscht, fry potatoes, boil corn and bake pizza. I enjoyed cooking, I am sure that I will continue to improve my skills. Before, I could only fry my own eggs and boil compote.
Also in the summer I read a lot of books on the list that the teacher of the Russian language and literature left behind. Reading saved me from despondency, and thanks to it I did not feel that I was degraded. I watched the online concerts of Eljay and Olga Buzova, discovered new series. I think I managed to become more responsible.
Life has not prepared anyone for such a turn of events, we are all waiting for the end of all restrictive measures. This terrible time helped me decide on a profession. I'm sure I want to become a doctor like my mom. In my opinion, this is the best profession in the world - to heal people.
