Realism through futurism in the works of V.V. Mayakovsky

Vladimir Mayakovsky wrote ambiguous poems. In his work there are quite understandable children's poems, as well as those works that are sometimes incomprehensible from the first reading.
Mayakovsky considered himself a futurist. Often in his work strange images appear, unusual for readers. An example is the "drainpipe flute", "poetry - a capricious woman" and other expressions that knock out of the rut of "even" creativity.
Strange images, unusual comparisons and grotesque - all this characterizes the work of Vladimir Mayakovsky. However, futurism allows the poet to show a new time. Even Mayakovsky's famous desire to throw old poets and writers off the ship of modernity, for all its futuristic nature, demonstrates a very real desire to go a new path.
We must not forget that Mayakovsky originally sang the praises of the revolution. In this regard, his futurism was aimed at showing people new facets: there is no need to be afraid to separate from the old, because there is a new path ahead that is worth going.
By the end of his life, Vladimir Mayakovsky becomes disillusioned with the revolution. The people did not begin to live better, therefore, in a suicide note written in the form of poems, Mayakovsky ironically addresses the government, which he thanks for the fact that it can arrange a “bearable life” for Lilia Brik, as well as his family.
Mayakovsky, creating futuristic images, describes the situation in the country. Suffice it to recall the poem "Toady", which ridicules the vice of sycophancy. There is no place for cowards and suckers in the future!
