The image of a woman in the works of A.I. Solzhenitsyn
All writers have many facets in their work, but it is really difficult to judge the works of A.I. Solzhenitsyn. This is largely due to the difficult fate of this person who went through the camp. However, the role of the universal teacher, as the writer positioned himself, left a mark on the writer's work.
It is enough to remember Simochka from the novel “In the First Circle” to understand the spirituality of female images in the writer's work. In the novel, the main characters are unfree men, but women are also important. Officially they are free, but they are trapped by circumstances. At the same time, women are strong in spirit. For Solzhenitsyn, this moment is important and indicative. A vulnerable soul is always filled with spirit, as it happens in real life.
The most memorable female image is Matryona. Solzhenitsyn wanted to show the Russian righteous woman, which the author managed to do. In the story "Matryonin Dvor", the woman suffered a bereavement. There is no family, but Matryona does not despair, she finds meaning in life in work. Although she is exploited by many neighbors, the woman does not resist. She is always ready to help.
Matryona became a key figure in the work of Solzhenitsyn, who touched on the topic of women who are able to create. It's a shame that the fate of people sometimes develops in the same way as Matryona's. Only the image of this woman teaches us endurance and fortitude.
There are not so many female characters in Solzhenitsyn's work as in Pushkin. The writer pays attention to the family and social status of women. Solzhenitsyn finds in their images the strength of the Russian soul, capable of enduring everything.
