Composition based on the novel by I.A. Goncharova "Oblomov"
The novel Oblomov was written by Goncharov in 1859. The theme of the superfluous person, the extinction of the personality, stood before the writer for a long time. All the realism of that time is reflected in the work.
Ilya Ilyich Oblomov lived in St. Petersburg on Gorokhovaya Street. As a landowner, he occupied himself with little and was not fond of anything, there were no hobbies and important things. He loved to lie on the couch all his free time, and there was a lot of him.
He constantly hovers in dreams, doing the necessary things and entertainments there, but things don't move further than dreams. His village, falling into decay, is gradually fading away. Nothing is of interest to her master.
Andrei Shtolts, Oblomov's friend, looking at his condition, is trying to shake him up, return him to an active life. The parents left behind a rich estate that must be managed. But great laziness does not allow to do this. He is unable to get up from the couch to do business on the estate.
Acquaintance with a young girl gives him new sensations, unfamiliar feelings wake up. She tries to awaken in him activity, determination, but all attempts end in vain. Ilya Ilyich does not want to, he cannot allow this. For him, the person who is nearby is comfortable, fulfills all his orders, serves and looks after him. Such a woman suits him, she is, but not a young girl.
Life is gradually fading away in him, as in that village, although he is young and full of strength, but laziness does not allow him to live. He dies of a stroke, a useless and worthless person who has done nothing for the people of his village. He is not interesting to anyone, leaving no trace of his actions, ideas, life.
