Composition on the tragedy "Hamlet" by Shakespeare
The play "Hamlet" by William Shakespeare is a tragedy by genre. In the center of the plot is Hamlet, the heir to the Danish throne. Through his image, the reader is conveyed to the contradictory features of both that time and the eternal contradictions of human life.

At first, Hamlet as a whole is not burdened with any difficulties and lives a calm, happy life. Decent, romantic, friendly - all these traits characterize him as an example of philanthropy. Therefore, apparently, Hamlet perceives people as higher beings who are in the temple of earthly life.

The central character is interested in culture: reading, theater and even writing. While studying at an expensive university, he often thinks about his future, in which he sees himself as the ruler of the country.

Suddenly misfortune occurs - Hamlet's father dies. Hamlet's mother, only having lost her husband and the Danish king, marries his brother Claudius. The ghost of his father informs Hamlet that he was killed by his own brother. In addition, now the heir to the Danish throne suspects his own mother of deception and betrayal. It is likely that it was she who was an accomplice in the murder of the king.

Because of this betrayal, Hamlet loses his former cheerfulness. His character changes and he begins to treat everyone around him coldly, including his best friends.

Hamlet is overcome by a thirst for revenge, interrupted by the uncertainty of his willpower. He also reflects on how vicious, meaningless and ugly the world really is. Nevertheless, knowing that he will lose, Hamlet still chooses to fight.

He pretends to be insane in order to find evidence of Claudius's involvement in the murder of his father. In the end, he gets everything he needed. However, wounded in a duel by the poisoned sword of Laertes, Hamlet nevertheless dies, like Laertes himself, the queen and Claudius.

The death of Hamlet is a demonstration that the victory of good is the highest value, and therefore, for the sake of it one can and should go even to self-sacrifice.
