As a rule, the confrontation between the adult generation that is accustomed to certain practices, traditions, attitudes, rules, and young, dreaming of a full, fast, active life, a radical change all around. Things do not always work correctly to change or do, but "experience – the son of errors difficult" and in life everyone has the right to self-determination.

Although Bazarov is on the way to defending his position in life, yet before his death, it is understood that it is not possible to completely reject the fact that the past years of ancestors and parents. The nihilist realizes that it is impossible to reject everything.

For representatives of our time, the novel "Fathers and children" is also relevant and topical. Adults constantly impose their views on the issues raised in Turgenev's work. We can say that the young should be given a chance to create a new better society, because the older this feature was. But the experience gained by the ancestors, also cannot be discarded in any case.
