Do you agree with the opinion of Descartes "Despair is fear without hope"?
In life, of course, no person who at least once in my life experienced despair. What can cause this feeling? In my opinion anything. To despair possible after receiving a failing grade in school, not enrolling in the Institute of which he dreamed, after a quarrel with friends or parents. Despair — an unpleasant feeling in the time of the appearance which the person begins to experience the fear that rolls down an inclined plane down, you begin to feel a state of hopelessness and complete lack of any hope for the future.
Refer to the example of the immense despair of a man of a literary work. Desperate characters is a lot, but most of all has made me despair of the hero of the story by A. P. Chekhov "the Death of an official" Chervyakova, a condition which had higher degree of fear bordering on despair from the perfect, in his opinion, crimes in the form of a simple sneeze in the theater. To sneeze anyone and in the beginning of the story the hero is just looking around to understand, did not disturb anybody with his sneezing, but when he realizes that sprayed saliva General Bryzgalov, it loses dormancy and begins to panic. In the end, the situation begins to border on the absurd, as the hero apologizes to the General so many times that eventually General just can not stand molestation Chervyakova and starts yelling, and the hero from the fear of dying.
Example taken from this artwork confirms the idea that fear of people can not control themselves and to properly assess the situation. In this case man ceases to hope that the situation can be resolved peacefully and begins to despair. Therefore, the words of Descartes: "Despair is fear without hope" is not without Foundation. Based on the idea of the philosopher is to understand that you should always hope for the best and never give up.
