Where I was born? On Earth! Everyone lives not just in a separate state, namely on planet Earth. I think the fact that I was born on this planet, makes me a "citizen of the world".
Everyone has the right to a nationality. Arbitrarily revoke the citizenship it is impossible, in addition, you cannot forbid a person to choose and change nationality. According to the description of the explanatory dictionary of Ozhegova, a citizen is a person who is among the resident population of the state, enjoys its protection and has a specific set of rights and obligations.
In my opinion, belonging to a state comparable to slavery, as if people lost their freedom. As an example, consider the case of Hitler, who "brought up" the Germans as patriots. As a result, people have known the hatred of others and there was a terrible, violent times. Oscar Wilde said "Patriotism is religion mad", I can not agree with this statement. The wrong interpretation of patriotism leads to many feuds between people. And these disputes never end. Many people tend not to seek happiness in their own Homeland, they are attracted abroad. The reasons remain a mystery, but many support their relationship and attachment to one country or another, certain facts which often characterize the conditions and standard of living of the population of another state. There are people who just want to see the world, to discover new and amazing places.
Sometimes these desires reach the point of absurdity, because some representatives of humanity acquired land on the moon, which is not a property of a particular state. This is the heritage of the world. The world is exactly what should be the goal of all countries and peoples. It does not need to divide the terrestrial globe, feel like a citizen of the world. Humanity is one, and all live on the same planet, you must learn to respect each other and not divide it over a piece of land. I don't consider myself an ardent patriot of his country, I am interested in other States and other cultures. I – citizen of the world.
