Images of the righteous in Russian literature

Classical literature always draws attention to the topic of people sacrificing themselves for the sake of society. The images of the righteous are well developed and systematized. You can write about this for a long time, but it is better to consider some of the characters.

First of all, it is worth mentioning Ivan Flyagin, whose image was created by Nikolai Leskov. In the work "The Enchanted Wanderer" Flyagin is shown as a man seeking a way of salvation. He is sinful, but he understands his sins. This allows Ivan to correct the situation. He goes to a monk, but is ready to fight for the Motherland.

The image turned out to be realistic, Leskov managed to show the throwing of the human soul, which will always find its way. You just need to open your heart to goodness. Flyagin, having made many mistakes, corrects himself. A Russian soul filled with courage awakens in him. Kindness and breadth of thoughts.

Another character who can no doubt be called a righteous person is the heroine of the story "Matryonin's yard" written by NS Leskov. Matryona experienced a terrible tragedy. She was left without a family, but did not give up. The woman disinterestedly helped all the people who asked her about it.

The righteousness of the image lies in Matryona's ability not to succumb to the demon of despair and the demon of malice. She brings goodness to the world. The village rests on Matryona, because everyone is waiting for help from this glorious woman.

Only 2 characters were considered. There are many righteous people in Russian literature from whom one can learn. Suffice it to recall Lev Myshkin from the novel "The Idiot" by F.M. Dostoevsky.

Each image is not a fiction. Mother Russia is rich in people who are good. Of course, there are more evil than honest and decent, but you can always choose the path of good, as the heroes of literature and life do, despite many difficulties.
