Love in the works of Bunin and Kuprin

Ever since humanity became acquainted with the very concept of art, all writers, poets, artists, composers have certainly given a place in their work to this feeling, which can overshadow all other feelings experienced by the character. Each of them tried with their works to demonstrate the beauty of this feeling in comparison with the rest. However, they have always readily considered love in many of its manifestations. After all, she could be the first, the next, or even the last, full of passion and tough manifestations associated with it, or tender and peaceful, of course, a mutual or unrequited feeling that burns the hero from the inside.

I.A. Bunin and A.I. Kuprin in their work acted as real experts, ready to show love on the pages of their works, as a sublime and wonderful feeling. Perhaps no one could write about love, giving this feeling such shades, as these two wrote. Love, depicted by them in their works, emanates with its beauty and uniqueness.

When compared with other feelings of I.A. Bunin portrays love as unique, giving it the most vivid colors and putting all his skill in the description process. At the same time, the writer endows the feeling of love with a certain tragedy and at the same time considers it the most wonderful feeling that any person can experience. So painfully sweet feelings come out from under his pen that such manifestations of them simply cannot continue for a long time. A.I. Kuprin, this connection with tragedy is even more pronounced. In his works, love is usually not able to withstand collisions with reality. At the same time, he elevates feeling to the rank of absolute, capable of outweighing even the feeling of the absolute end (i.e., the death of the hero), but he does it so gracefully that it overwhelms the reader. For instance,in his "Pomegranate Bracelet" he clearly emphasizes the feeling of his character, which is capable of moving into the soul of the reader and is almost accepted by him as his own feeling.

A significant part of the works of both masters is familiar with a tragic ending. However, this once again emphasizes the almost eternal nature of love, even in comparison with death. In the works of these writers, the feeling of full and true love is literally glorified.
