Last weekend my parents and I went for a walk in the forest. The weather was beautiful, which beckoned us to leave the house. We took with us some sandwiches, tea in a thermos, rackets and a shuttlecock for playing badminton and went by car.
The nearest mixed forest is about twenty minutes by car. This forest is located on the outskirts of the city, but inside it feels close to nature. There is very clean air that smells like pine needles and foliage.
Once deeper in the forest, one could feel the silence of the forest, interrupted by the rare exclamations of forest birds. These are indescribable emotions.
We walked along a path that crosses the entire forest. We walked slowly, breathing fresh air and enjoying the autumn foliage.
In my opinion, September is the best time for forest walks. It is still warm enough, but not hot anymore. The trees dress up in their beautiful foliage robes, and here and there overripe berries are still visible.
Then we found a clearing where it was convenient to have a picnic and play badminton. I ate sandwiches with appetite and drank aromatic tea. For some reason, a brutal appetite always awakens in the fresh air.
Badminton is our favorite family game. My parents and I ran around the clearing, beating off the shuttlecock so that it would not fall to the ground.
Having played enough badminton, we admired the surrounding view a little more and returned to the car to return home. I love these small trips with the whole family, as we all have fun together, because parents are often late at work on weekdays.
