What knowledge is necessary in life – it is an undeniable fact. It is probably difficult to imagine a person who does not know how to write, read or count. Also, it is unlikely to meet a person who does not know how to speak their language. What is actually required knowledge? In life that goes at a furious pace, you need to know not only the complex formulas from the scientific literature. In life you need to know as much as possible. You must not only know how to cook dinner, to repair the iron or the TV, drive a car, hold gas or water, etc.In the first place, knowledge must be purchased and improved. After all, knowledge is changing the world beyond recognition.
Here is a small example. Yet, some hundred years ago, ordinary TV were fantastic, very few people could even imagine. Now, this is an indispensable attribute of every home. An even more striking example: mobile or cell phone. Some 50-70 years ago, nobody could even think that the phone can talk without wire from any point of the globe. It was a so-called "scientific fiction". However, due to learning and knowledge, this "fantasy", today, have with each student.
And what, exactly, you need to learn in school? The school gives those basic and fundamental knowledge, which then helps to acquire a more complex and extensive. This is somewhat similar to building a house. Even the most beautiful and durable house will just collapse without the Foundation, after standing for one day.
No matter how awful it will be to imagine, but even some 100-150 years ago, the vast majority of people of tsarist Russia, was completely illiterate. People did not know how to read or write or count. Although this seems crazy, but it was so. More or less literate in the period were landlords and priests, and even then, their level of education left much to be desired. Can illiterate people become literate and educated? Of course, Yes! It will take many more centuries, and it will be remembered, to respect and to set an example. This is not surprising, as any person who achieved something by their own labor, especially mental, always deserves great respect.
