War has not a woman's face

In the worst war of the 20th century, women had to become soldiers. They not only rescued, bandaged the wounded, but also fired from sniper rifles, blew up bridges, went on reconnaissance, "took the tongue." Something happened that was not inherent to them by nature. They killed! They did not give life, as it should be by their nature, but took it away from the enemy, who fell on their house, children, land. It's not a woman's lot - to kill!

The representatives of the weaker half overcame the fascists, liberated their homeland, and some reached the Reichstag to leave their signatures on the walls of the building that became the embodiment of fascism!

They performed every day, every minute, every second a real feat, sometimes even at the cost of their own lives. How many mothers, wives, girlfriends were killed in the endless expanses of fields, cities and villages, where bloody battles were fought. They defended their land! They covered up children and infirm old people who would like to go to fight the invaders, but could not because of their age!

It is known that hundreds of thousands of Komsomol members, girls, beauties went to the front against the "brown plague" (as the Nazi invaders were called)! Behind these meager numbers are hundreds of distorted destinies, lives, lost relatives, loved ones and loved ones, female loneliness and the groaning memory of those terrible, military years.

Why did the keepers of the hearth have to master non-female professions: infantryman, artilleryman, pilot, sniper?

Because the Great Patriotic War did not make a difference between the sexes, between men and women. No wonder, from those bitter years to our time, the phrase has survived: "War has not a woman's face." Because there were no mothers, girls, wives and loved ones, but there were defenders of the Fatherland and Fatherland!

That is why, the embodiment of victory in the Great Patriotic War was the sculpture Motherland, which personifies all the women of our endless country!
