Essay on the work of V. G. Rasputin " Lessons in French»
One of the famous works of the Russian writer Valentin Grigorievich Rasputin is called "Lessons in French". In the center of the story is a boy from a poor family and a teacher, Lydia Mikhailovna, who leads French lessons at school. The main idea of the story is to show the importance of human qualities such as kindness and compassion.

The student described in" French Lessons " is eleven years old. In the post-war years, his family lived in a remote village and was quite poor. The boy's mother believed that her son needed a good education, so he had to move to the regional center. Despite the difficult situation, the woman was looking for an opportunity to send parcels to her son. These programs helped, of course, but they were very poor, and the boy had to live without food. Because of this, he suffered from anemia.

Seeing no other way out, the boy began to play with other children for money. Sometimes he won, and that allowed him to buy milk on a certain day. It happened that the main character noticed that one of the players was cheating. He said so, but instead of justice, he got a beating. He didn't want to tell me how he got the bumps and bruises. But the French teacher managed to find out the reason for what happened.

The young teacher felt sorry for the boy. She realized that he was not playing out of passion or greed, but because of his own plight. To help the boy, Lydia Mikhailovna agreed with him that she would take additional classes in her own subject at home. What she really wanted to do was help the boy, try to feed him while he was staying with her.

The main character quickly understood the teacher's true intentions. He was proud enough to resent the teacher's attempts to feed him in this way. Then Lydia Mikhailovna came up with a new plan to help her student. Since he didn't want to take anything from her just like that, she offered to play wall-to-wall for money with her. The main character was initially puzzled, but he later agreed. The teacher deliberately gave in to the boy so that he could win and get money to spend on food.

All this went on until the principal found out that the teacher was playing a game of chance with a student. At school, Lydia Mikhailovna was seriously spoken to and forced to resign. After all, her action was contrary to the ethics of the teaching profession. Although she was trying to do a good deed for the starving boy.

The young teacher had to return to Kuban, where she used to live. She still remembered her pupil, and he received a parcel from her with fragrant southern apples, which he had never even seen before. This is something he will remember when he grows up.

The author shows how important it is to be kind, help people, show them attention and care. Moreover, it can and should be done selflessly.
