We are reporting from the children's sports school of gymnastics. Today there are qualifying competitions for the selection of the junior team.
The school hall is a spacious room with high ceilings and huge windows. Today there are only 20 participants in it - some of them will become a professional gymnast and go to big sports.
Near the walls there are horizontal bars, Swedish walls with balls stuck in them, bars.
It is here, in this room, that the fate of little girls is decided. The little ones hold the hoops in their hands, which are part of the first test. Then there will be gymnastic ribbons and clubs.
The gymnasts themselves are dressed in professional leotards, leotards and some have knee-highs or socks on which they are wearing gymnastics.
Girls' hair is gathered in one or two ponytails so as not to interfere with the performance of young athletes. There were cases when an unexpectedly falling strand interfered with a somersault, and as a result, the number gained a small number of points.
Now we are watching young gymnasts before the upcoming performance.
Some of them are completely ready and focused, like a spring, ready to straighten up and fire. They are looking forward to the start.
A couple of girls finished their warm-up and stepped aside to gather their courage before starting, or perhaps they moved away to calm down or cheer up their girlfriend.
Most of them stand in the center of the hall and listen to the instructions and parting words of the coach.
As for me, I think all the contestants are great, and even those that will be “weeded out” will learn the lessons to work hard on their mistakes and perform well in the next qualifying competition.
In conclusion, I would like to wish them good luck and, of course, victory in this beautiful sport.
