The image of Vladimir Dubrovsky in the story of the same name by A.S. Pushkin
Initially, Vladimir will seem like a young darling of fate. The life of a young officer is a holiday, he spends his days carelessly, spending on entertainment. The future did not bother him, he simply squandered his father's money, losing at cards. At the same time, not even suspecting that the father sent all his funds to his son in St. Petersburg, so that he lived worthy of his noble title. How can such a character be interesting? But everything changes after the news of the trouble: the father loses his estate and dies.

Young Dubrovsky goes to his native land. He did not have a close relationship with his father, but he loved him and treasured his estate. Here he faced a cruel injustice, when a former friend, because of a quarrel, using corrupt connections, takes his father's estate and brings him to death.

Vladimir wants to take revenge on the culprit of the misfortunes, the most influential landowner Troyekurov. He burns down his home together with the clerks, takes the path of robbery and thinks out a plan of revenge. Is Vladimir right, guided by his thirst for revenge? Is he a criminal, becoming a thunderstorm of all rich nobles, a robber from the high road? I believe that he is a noble robber. After all, many circumstances influenced his choice. Firstly, he did not want to burn the officials, the servant Arkhip disobeyed him. Secondly, the serfdom of that time made the peasants the slaves of the landlords. Vladimir's father treated his people well, and after the trial, the village had to go to the unprincipled Troekurov. Therefore, Vladimir considered himself responsible for his people, and became their leader. Even though he chose a life of robberythereby he helped the poor peasants in their difficult life and robbed only those landowners who were cruel to their serfs.

One can envy his courage and decisiveness, he is not afraid of the most important person in the city. He concocts a plan on how to get into the house of his abuser disguised as a French teacher, and plans to burn down his house.

But another turn in fate reveals new qualities in Dubrovsky. The daughter of his sworn enemy, Maria, sunk into his heart. Using the example of the relationship between Mary and Vladimir, we are convinced that love can heal. For her sake, he is ready for anything, even forgive and forget about his plans for revenge. Maria is ready to go abroad with Vladimir, just to be close to her beloved.

But apparently fate does not want to be supportive of the heroes, they are not destined to be together. Dubrovsky is late for the wedding. He seizes the carriage with the newlyweds, but Masha refuses to go with him. Why? Masha and Vladimir live in the 20s of the 19th century. The wedding is considered a sacred sacrament, and Masha could not break this vow before God. She has to stay with her old husband and be faithful to him.

Reading the story, you involuntarily empathize with the hero and hope for a happy ending. In my opinion, Vladimir is worthy of happiness. He is not ready to obey the circumstances, he fights for justice, albeit in a criminal way.

The work "Vladimir Dubrovsky" was published after the death of A.S. Pushkin. But this story could be a full-fledged novel. The story of Vladimir and Maria is not finished yet, and their love would have continued, we can only guess now.
