Walks in Estonia
When my parents said that they had bought a ticket to the Baltics, I could not even imagine that it would be a trip to a fairy tale, a city of dreams! We were heading to Estonia. What kind of state is this and why do I love it so much?

Estonia is a former post-Soviet country. Today it is a European state with the capital Tallinn. The main city is divided into two parts - Old and New Tallinn.

The roads in the Old Town are designed so that wherever a person goes, he will invariably come to the Town Hall with a weather vane "Old Thomas" on the main square.

Knitting and macrame are the hallmarks of Estonia. Handicrafts can be found in the markets.

There are many attractions on the territory of this state:
  • Toompea Castle was formerly called the Revel Fortress.
  • Castle Herman. (Narvsky).
  • Rakvere Castle has a museum with a torture chamber.
  • Ahrensburg Castle - the seat of the bishops - is located in Kuressare.
  • Town Hall Square in Tartu.
  • The Kadriorg (Ekaterinental) palace and park ensemble is the most beautiful in all of Estonia.
  • Toil Oru Park in Toila is famous for its wooden sculptures and plants brought from all over the world.

 And the wonders of nature:
  • The Panga cliff on the island of Saaremaa is known for the fact that at the highest point of this ledge (21 meters) there is an altar where sacrifices were made, appeasing the sea gods.
  • Vallaste waterfall is located in Ida-Viru County.
  • The highest hill in the Baltics - Suur-Manamägi (translated as Mountain-egg) is located in the village of Haanja.
  • National parks (Soomaa, Lahemaa) with untouched corners of nature.
  • Ruhnu Island with the Church of St. Magdalene.
  • The Olivete Church is the tallest among the ritual and cult buildings in the world.

The trip to this beautiful and amazing country has become unforgettable for our friendly family.
