Funny whether the valiant knight don Quixote of La Mancha
The novel about don Quixote, author Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, was supposed to be a parody of novels about knights, which has gained huge popularity in Spain of the time. But in the end the novel was not a parody. It was a story that surprised all the people of that time. It was a story about a little crazy, naive don Quixote, fully confident that he is the knight. This novel tells of the clash of people-realists with the weirdos that live in his imaginary little world, and how these opposites to live with one another in the real world.
Don Quixote, after reading countless books about the exploits of noble knights, a bit lost his mind. Imagining himself a knight, he wears his helmet, armor, calls himself don Quixote de La Mancha, and his old horse – Rocinante. My lady Quixote proclaims Dulcinea del Toboso. Next, the newly made knight sets off to seek adventure.
However, these adventures he finds fairly quickly. Don Quixote with his pompous phrases evokes only laughter from the others. His desire to prove that Dulcinea del Toboso is the most beautiful woman in the world, provokes the merchants, which he later beat.
His squire don Quixote finds in his native village. It becomes Sancho Panza, which is actually an ordinary Plowman. After that, don Quixote, together with a new friend to go looking for new adventures.
For example, the knight had to fight with giants, that is, with the mills; I almost hurt a whole herd of sheep, which he imagined enemies; helped free the convicts. Well, among other things, also wrote poems dedicated to his lovely lady. In General, many more "exploits" had to do valiant knight. And he died not in battle, and his bed, while criticizing their favorite romances.
Perhaps outwardly it may seem very comical character, someone even cause laughter. However, if you think about it, it is rather a pity. After all, he is the embodiment of selflessness, nobility. He is so stubbornly thinks that they can defeat the evil that one does not want to laugh at him. He always wanted to help people. Don Quixote was willing to give everything for others, however, none of it is not thanked. In the end, he became disillusioned and surrendered.
It is not surprising that a vivid image of the noble knight has become the eternal in literature. But if you think about it, not that this good knight and funny, as he selflessly tried to defend all those in need.
