This summer, in August, we went to see my grandmother in the village. Usually we go to rest by the sea, but this year the parents decided that you can have a good rest in the village. Hearing this news, at first I was upset, but my sister said that it can be very fun in the village, there are many interesting things, and rest with my grandmother can be very interesting. There you can go to the forest for berries and mushrooms. In addition, there is a river in the village where you can go swimming.
However, when we arrived, we didn't manage to go straight to the river or into the forest. Grandma sent us to the garden to pick ripe apples. I didn't like the work, because the apples were very ripe and there were a lot of wasps circling around. They flew in a swarm over the fallen apples, sat down on them and enjoyed themselves with pleasure on sweet apples. They were not at all worried about our presence, there were enough apples for everyone.
We tried to pick the apples carefully so as not to disturb the wasps. This summer in the village there were cases when wasps bit some residents so badly that they even had to go to the hospital.
After completing the grandmother's task and collecting a whole bucket of apples, we went for a walk in the meadow. It was very interesting: you are surrounded by space, which has no end and edge. A gentle breeze creates waves from the grass. A pleasant aroma of various herbs spreads around. And the gentle sun literally hugs you. Summer is a wonderful time.
After walking in the meadow, we went home. Already in the yard we were greeted by a pleasant smell. It turned out that our grandmother baked an apple pie from those apples that we picked in the morning. It was so appetizing and tasty that it is difficult to convey even in words.
We cut off large chunks, ate on both cheeks and washed down with fresh milk, our grandmother has her own cow. This was the most delicious food.
A walk and delicious food dispelled all our fears. We began to understand that vacation is very different from vacation at sea, but it can also be interesting.
After lunch, we went to the river, where we could swim and soak up the sun for pleasure. Here we met the local guys. They were very friendly and we quickly hit it off. Later we spent a lot of time together: we went to the forest to pick mushrooms, berries and even nuts.
During our vacation, we not only walked, but also helped my grandmother. They collected not only apples, but also pears and berries that grew in the garden. The raspberries you eat straight from the bush are the tastiest in the world. My sister fed the chickens, and my grandmother showed me how to milk a cow, and even allowed me to try.
Our vacation in the village was very interesting: we were able to learn so many new things that we did not even notice that we had never looked into our phones and tablets. My sister and I decided to ask our parents to bring us to my grandmother's village next year.
