Everyone dreams of a friend who can be trusted. Such a person is rightfully considered reliable. However, it is not difficult to make demands on others. For myself, I can say this: I strive to keep my promises. But life is unpredictable. Sometimes there are circumstances beyond our control. So, we can arrange a meeting with friends, for example, at the stadium, where the long-awaited match will begin at five o'clock. But the long wait for the bus at the bus stop, and then the traffic jam due to the accident, will not play into my hands. How can I fulfill my promise in such a situation?
Here, too, there is an option not to let your friends down. It is enough just to call and warn, so that, as they say, "seven did not wait for one". The boys can go and watch the football, and I'll get there with a clear conscience and join the viewing party. In this case, I will show my respectful attitude and not provoke conflict situations.
There are rare times when I simply forget what I promised. Then a sense of shame comes over me and I try to quickly apologize to those I have let down.
I admit that I myself have been deceived several times. The man I was counting on didn't keep his word. Believe me, this is very offensive and extremely unpleasant. But even from these situations, I tried to draw valuable experience, and also felt in full what a person with unfulfilled hopes feels.
In conclusion, I would like to conclude that the promise is expensive. Therefore, do not give them away without thinking. If you are confident that you will fulfill your promise, then boldly encourage others. Otherwise, do not upset your loved ones and undermine their confidence in yourself.
