Literature of the eighteenth century in the eyes of the modern reader
Literature in all ages has had outstanding representatives in the face of writers. Getting acquainted with the works of certain authors, unwittingly become part of the time in which you created literary masterpieces. In the works of the eighteenth century is also seen with many typical this time of directions. The most striking of them are the sentimentalism and classicism.

Features of classicism, which adheres to the strict canons of modern readers are not always clear. In turn, the sentimentalism, by contrast, is almost always resonates in the heart of any category of readers. The thing is that the theme of feelings and emotions is important at all times and sounds like a fabulous story.

The authors of that time focused on the experiences of the characters and their inner emotional state. Bright representative of the product in the style of sentimentalism is the novel Karamzin's "Poor Liza". The author is very tenderly and vividly described the thoughts and motives of the heroine that the reader is unwittingly immersed in the image and begins to empathize with him. We have a very naive and impressionable girl, the inner world which is so artfully created by Karamzin. His work the writer created a fertile ground for successors.

Another equally outstanding example of this era is the "Ignoramus" Fonvizin. In the Comedy describes some of the eternal problems of mankind, which are also not left untouched by the modern reader. There is a perception that the piece was written by Peter 1, which obliged young noblemen to study, get an education, and then enlist and start a family. The basic idea of Comedy is that you need to prepare the next generation according to the ideas of the enlightenment. It is impossible not to agree with the fact that to this day this topic is very relevant.

Re-reading the classics of the eighteenth century, we learn from criticism and evaluation of different situations. Based on the brilliant works of the past experience, we can transfer the findings into the present. Because of the vital postulates of infidelity, and of the challenges faced by people relevant at all times.
