I live in a very beautiful city in Russia – Kazan. It is a large city with more than a million inhabitants. This is a very old city with a rich history. It was founded in the distant year 1005. Kazan stands on the left Bank of the Volga river.
My city is very clean and is being transformed every year. New interchanges are being built, courtyards are being transformed, and a large number of new plantings and flower beds are being created. In every district of the city there is a Central Park, which necessarily has some special feature. For example, the Gorky Central Park of culture and recreation is very green. There are many paths, a sky Park and a dancing fountain where children enjoy frolicking on hot summer days. Here you can feed squirrels, ride in winter from the slopes on cheesecake or skate on an outdoor ice rink.
There are many educational institutions in Kazan, where people come to study from all over the country and even from abroad. We also have many monuments, among the most famous-the monument to Musa Jalil, Chaliapin, Derzhavin, Lenin.
There are also a large number of museums and theaters in my city. For example, the national Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan, which has about 800 thousand valuable exhibits, is of great national importance. And the building of the puppet theater will not leave anyone indifferent, striking with its beauty and brightness.
Among other things, Kazan is a major tourist center. Kazan Kremlin attracts tourists – the main attraction of the city. Vacationers also enjoy strolling along the Central Bauman street, visiting the wonderful water Park and the renovated embankment.
Kazan has many mosques, including the most famous – the KUL – SHARIF mosque, as well as temples, such as the ancient Annunciation Cathedral.
In 2013, Kazan hosted the world summer Universiade. We prepared for such a large-scale event carefully and for a long time. We built a 45-thousand-seat stadium and a lot of sports facilities, which are now popular among residents.
I am happy to live in such a beautiful city, I love it very much and I advise everyone to visit Kazan at least once and enjoy its beauty.
